Tucson Arizona

When you live in a place that has as much beautiful weather as Tucson, Arizona, has, it would be a mistake to miss out on the hiking opportunities in the area. Get out and explore Tucson’s great trail systems, starting with these three destinations.

Mt. Wasson Trails

There are a few trails that connect to bring you up Mt. Wasson. These trails are some of the best ways to see Arizona’s natural ecology. Head to the Tucson Mountain District of Saguaro National Park to get over 7 miles of great desert hiking in as you travel up the largest mountain in the park.

Seven Falls Trail

Taking on Seven Falls Trail should be on the bucket list of every Tucson citizen and visit. As its name suggests, you can see seven waterfalls along this path. Head to the Sabino Canyon Recreation Center to take on this fairly easy 8.2-mile hike. There is a $5 fee to access the trail, but the beautiful views are worth the cost.

Tumamoc Hill

Hike the 3.1-mile out-and-back trail up Tumamoc Hill to get a great view of the Tucson skyline. This trail is paved and wide, making it an easy hike for casual strollers, but it does get somewhat steep at times. If you’re looking for wildflowers, you can find them on this trail.

Head out on these trails to get to know the Tucson area on a more natural level. The beautiful natural sights these trails offer make them great ways to wash away the stress and noise of the city.
