Etherton Gallery
Etherton Gallery is one of the best photography galleries in the area, with museum-quality exhibits and an enormous collection of vintage and contemporary photographs. It represents established artists such as Ansel Adams, and you can also see up-and-coming photographers from all across the United States. Stop by soon, and keep in mind that this gallery is moving to a new location on Convent Ave in September.
Tucson Botanical Garden
The Tucson Botanical Garden’s summer exhibition features the work of photographer Shelley Lawrence Kirkwood and her “I’ll Follow the Sun” exhibition. This collection of photographs takes a close look at debris and foraged plants from the Sonoran Desert and from around Western Massachusetts. This exhibit runs from May through September of 2021.
The Madaras Gallery
Stop by the Madaras Gallery to see the work of local artist Diana Madaras. She was named Best Artist in Tuscon four years in a row, and the gallery showcases her paintings and pieces inspired by Arizona’s landscapes and its flora and fauna. Madaras specializes in painting with acrylics and watercolors and, over the years, has developed a style that any art lover will easily recognize as her work.
